Thanks guys!

This is very interesting.
Paul, I now noticed the plungers do partially raise up when you lift the handset, and fully raise up when you press the button, which it states on your website. Very clever. Looks like mine has a SL ringer so I wish I had a landline to try it out.  Of course I wouldn't be on a party line so I guess I would have to just lift the handset and push the button to use it.

Really appreciate all the information!

The North is one sharp looking wall phone. If you have never heard a North dial, it is amazing!

I love the design. If not for the AE 35/50 this would be the best wall phone, in my humble opinion...Doug

WITTY  Please take a clearer closeup picture of the wiring diagram.
I have been looking for that version so I can properly wire my desk phone that has that button.
Your phone has two things that are rare in a North phone, the North dial and the straight line ringer.
In advance, Thanks

Witty, that looks perfect. Thank You.
You should add it to the wiring diagrams page.

Good idea Howard.
I added a post to the North Electric wiring diagrams section, showing pics of the internal wiring, along with the wiring diagram.
