I have a 1967 WE 558F that I purchased awhile back, don't know why because I'm not into the late 50's or later phones but I've cleaned it up and it works just fine. It's FREE to any NEW member that wants to pay the shipping. Please just PM me with your name and mailing address and I'll notify you. First come first served, PayPal payment ONLY please.

Oh Gees, I reckon about a New York minute, LOL!
I think the usual time period of under a year is sufficient.

Now you on the other hand, have you ever been new, LOL!

That's a nice phone and a really kind offer Ron.

Hmm! Maybe I offered this phone to the wrong people.
65 views and no one wants it for the price of shipping?  ???

Maybe the newbies have not found it yet. Probably all us old timers have looked at it. Some are probably drooling over it. I would ask for it if it was black. Wrong color for my collection.

It's the right colour for my collection (ie any colour!) but I'm not a newbie and I suspect shipping across the pond would be rather a lot.

I think Harry is on to something there. With respect to new members, I see few, if any, who are starting telephone collections. Most have a phone to fix, to get working, and that's it. And there are some who have post '82 phones and/or desires to do or fix or create something "computer chip" related. A sign of the new times.

Offering this phone to New Members only significantly limits your "buyer" base.

I'd suggest offering it to any member and after a week, if not gone, put it on eBay for $1.99 (to cover the cost of packaging) plus shipping and see what happens.

While I like beige phones, beige seems to be less desirable. I see one possible "buyer" as someone who wants to put a childhood memory phone on their kitchen wall.

RDPipes

Well, I reckon we'll see what happens.

For me it is very interesting, but the shipping would cost me an arm from the USA to here in Quebec .

Oh I understand that Denis, I would imagine there are many here that the shipping would affect that way.

You can drill 2 holes in a black 554 housing, change the handset plastics and the dial number plate, and you'll have a black 558. Then keep looking for a Home Interphone speaker to complete the look.

Nothing to see here, The phone has found a new home, thank you all.  ;)
