Would love to have that telephone on our wall.
Now to mount a thrift store Western Electric Trimline® wall phone in the garage.
I'd take an educated guess but am unqualified.
In paramediclass, doctor asked me signs of Alzheimers.  "I forget.", I answered.

Lighted Princess® telephones are our favorites!

To ensure an emergent transport call, I need only:
- take first sip of beer when eating pizza
- start shampooing in the shower
- pull bed covers over and get warm and cozy
- begin my OCD oil change.  (Remove oil plug to drain overnight.)

Here you go (cheaper on eBay but much lower quality):

WE 1920s 653 Wall Phone

Post a picture of it after you mount it on your wall.

Wouldove it, but wife wants it in Touchone®
(If I could, I'd mount a square touchtone keypad on.e of oureplica candlestick telephones.)
I'd take an educated guess but am unqualified.

That's an excerpt from the short "Men in Black" (the original one - 1934).
Those WE wall phones aren't rare, you should be able to find one cheaply if you keep your eyes peeled.

Thank you.  Assumed many but also discarded.
Years ago I contacted an old Denver hospital.  They hadiscarded everything.
But I did find a clinic service sink at ReStore.
Now flushed with pride after installing it in our garage.
I'd take an educated guess but am unqualified.

The 653 was made for a long time.  The 354 wasn't introduced until about 1947.  The one in the link has a date of 1937 on the 101A network, and uses the 706A receiver and bulldog transmitter, so a No. 5 dial (or maybe a refurbished No. 4) would be appropriate.  It's likely that the first 653's used No. 2 dials, but most I've seen had No. 4 or 5.

I would hazard a guess it is an overlay. Did an extensive "restoration" so it would make sense plus the numerals look brand new.

There are no NOS, only restored phones and when done by Works or Shop, it's done for commercial sale, a nice looking phone that closely resembles the original but with "upgrades" to ensure the phone works and presents as a top quality item, looks, operation and sound. It's with the purchase price to the deep pocket buyer.

This one from Old Phone Works is similar to the one posted above from Old Phone Shop. $696cdn is about $510usd. But the Shop phone would be the lower price once shipping, customs and tariffs are added to the Works phone.

WE 653 Wall Phone (from Canada)

There are several on eBay right now for under $200 but of unknown quality and operation (ready for restoration).
