Check this out.  The fool trying to sell it thinks this Touch-Tone phone is from the second world war.  We all know that Touch Tone did not exist then.  Here is the link.

This link is for all North, not the one item. What is the item number?

Right now, somebody is trying to sell a North Electric phone that looks like it was made for the military as being from the Second World War, despite the fact that Touch Tone did not exist in the 40s.  This phone is probably from the 70s.  That seller has me blocked, so they have probably lied about items before and don't like it when I correct them.
I have never seen one like it. I am not sure what offends you, but I think it is a great Military phone.

Try to remember, not all sellers are collectors. many collectors describe phones incorrectly.

I have made mistakes and have bit of knowledge.

This is a nice phone that I would be happy to own. I would lighten up a tad....Doug

The listing ended and the note at the top said it was re-listed, but the link does not work. Might have been sold on a side deal.

The phone's serial number was 1944, most likely the WW-II source of error.

Nice phone for someone willing to pay for a military piece (I sold a slightly used, not much wear walking on sand and flying all day, set of combat jungle boots I wore in Nam for $250 a few years ago on an open auction basis) so if this meant something to someone for some use, price usually does not mean much just to have the item.

Images of the item are attached, maybe a moderator can split off all discussion of this phone into it's own topic under Collector's Corner.

Contact seller tab:

If you zoom in on the red label, it is dated Dec 76. The seller probably did not notice it. Seems more like a Cold War phone.

Below is the same phone noted on TCI. Was stated to be made in 1971.
Still a very rare phone. I saw another located in an army surplus shop, asking around $299.

I also noticed the seller has a lot of negative and neutral feedbacks the past year. Buyer beware.
