Google Voice support on OBiTALK set to end in Dec 2023

Such a shame.
I have never tested it out looks like I missed the boat.

Just FYI this is only the ObiTalk portal that allows you to initially configure the device.Devices configured while the portal is up, should keep working after the portal goes away.

Meanwhile I have been recommending that folks looking for a cheap provider consider Vbuzzer.com.. $5.99  (no tax and no hidden fees for USA Buyers) per month unlimited USA and Canada Calls incoming number, e911, free incoming number, free porting. been using it for months now.

Ok woow cool thanks I just ordered one to try out.
I also found this site:

Well it arrived and I decided to try out the alternative firmware and the Obihi works just fine with a touch tone phone. However it appears it does not support rotary.

I could have told you that!

You can do one of two things

1) Use A Pulse to tone converter
2) Connect a Pulse compatible ATA to the OBI (it supports 4 SIP accounts) for connection of Pulse dial phone to Google Voice. http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=25295.0
Start at post number 8 if you want to try this as it was updated somewhat.

About obi firmware.com:
Personally I have had a lot of issues getting the full set of instructions out of the good ole' boys club (Naf & Co) that seems to hold the few secrets of how to use that firmware for Google Voice. If you have those complete instructions, it may be worth creating a new thread here to post it in. I do not believe it is posted on the obi firmware site. You must PM this Naf character to get a few key components of configuration, and if he decides he likes you, he might answer.
