I'm in need of a receiver for the handset of my Western Electric 302 phone from 1953. Anyone have one? Thanks, Tom

Is the handset missing its receiver, or is the receiver not working?  Is the handset an F1 or F1W?  Can you post a picture of the handset.  Finding an HA1 receiver is easy, they are plentiful, but you should be sure that it is what is needed.

E-Bay.  There are usually some there.  Also, Old phone Shop and Old Phone Works.  The sell them.

The handset is an F1 and the receiver is not working. After doing all kinds of test as recommended by members of this forum its still not working, so now I'm just going to replace it. If that doesn't work then I will know it's something else. Thanks for the input.
Update: I found what I need and I'm buying it. Thanks to all. Hopefully the phone will work with a new one. Thanks to all.

Those receivers very seldom fail.  I would give it a 99% chance that the problem is something else.

Very easy to detect a faulty receiver with an Ohm meter.
