Hi, guys.  I have an offer:  I have two rotary wall phones, as seen in the photos below and in the next post.  I want an AE wall phone.  What I want is a 50 Tombstone or a 183 Spacemaker or a WE 211 or , in a pinch, an AE 90 or WE 356.   Does anyone want to swop - yours for mine??

Also a pile of cords if anyone wants them.  All are modular.

And by the way, I found this just now:  http://www.islandregister.com/phones/telephones.html

Sorry I can't help you out as I don't have any of the phones you are looking for.  That first 554 phone seems to have some pretty old components in it, the network looks to be dated 1956.  Both are in nice condition.

Swamp Yankee?  Are you from RI?

M y Dad is.  Farmers in Portsmouth back to 1641, +/-.  And you?

But no phones, huh?  Maybe I can sell mine to one of you and then buy what I want from another of you.  I bet you don't sell your phones, just spare parts.  Well, it was worth a try.

Sorry I don't have any of the phones that you want.  Those AE50 wall phones look great but seem to be hard to come by at a reasonable price, unless they are cracked or chipped.  Here's one with a crack on top that could be fixed and it has the much coveted chrome bands and chrome dial:

Good luck in your search!

HI, Coz!  :D

Genetically I am mostly Coggeshall, but also Stafford, Snow, Wilcox, Anthony, Cory, Moon, Freeborn, Barnett, Hambly, etc.  My Dad calls the Hamblys "shirt tail relations".  Almost all Portsmouth and Tiverton for 350 years!  My mom is 3rd gen. German.

My husband says I am ...

Haha, dawn breaks over Marblehead ...

I was in Portsmouth today for a birthday party.  It was for my wife's family.  They are newbies-only a couple hundred years on the island.

Hi Ellen -

Any chance you still have these two phones?  I'm looking for some parts (lower actuator that separates the copper contacts hooked to the cradle mechanism - top one green and lower one light blue/clear in the bottom photos).  If you do, would you be interested in selling one, and if so, for how much?

Steve, Ellen hasn't been posting on the forum for a few months. If you want to contact her, maybe you'll need to send her a private message. If you do write to her, tell her she's missed on the phone forum.! :)

Thanks HobieSport.  Being new to this site, can you tell me how one would go about sending a private message?

HobieSport

Just click on Ellen's name, and that will open up her personal profile. Near the bottom of the profile page just click on "send this member a private message".  :)
