HI forum,

I recently found myself with another grooveless F1 handset. I kind of want to keep it, but I already have another one and I am contemplating selling it. I heard they were scarce. Only the handle is there though, no caps or elements.

My question is: is it worth selling? I have no base for it to go on at the moment, but do you think I will be able to find another one if I wanted to? Are they actually that rare? Is there any interest in the forum?

Thanks y'all for your advice-

I would check the market and see if they are still getting crazy prices.  Then ask yourself "What do I need it for?"  Unless you are going to obtain another 1937 302, and that 302 is missing its handset, there isn't much use for it.

Kenton,

I am interested in the seamless F1, dependent on my fiduciary limitations, of course! ;)

What does the inscription read?   I think the first versions didn't mention the "F1" as the last line of inscription. But I have no reference dates yet for those.

If you aren't sure, you should probably hang on to it. Unless you can get a crazy amount of money for it, it would be better to keep it with the possibility of getting a '37 302 without a matching handset.

This is tough. I would happily sell if I only knew the price, but I've only ever seen one on ebay and there some uncertainty. I'm leaning towards listing it. Anybody have any offers before I plan on listing it? If I sell, I would rather give the forum priority, Ebay is so impersonal and takes a nasty 10%.
