SC 1198 w/dial

I watched this phone go a couple rounds on EBAY without a bite. I realized I had a place in my collection between the 1197 manual and the 1212 Fat boy where this would fit nicely. I have a soft spot for this style of SC phones.  I love the look of these phones and the role they played in the evolvement of phones of that era.

This one looked well restored and ready to display, at $95.00+ if I could be the lone sniper the last minute, I would go for it. As happened in previous auctions for this phone I did just that. I made the min bid last minute and now it is on the way to my home!
Next week it will take it's place with it's SC family members!

It looks like the dial is in there for decoration as it isn't connected to any thing. With that type of dial you could wire it to be the equivalent circuit of a 202 type phone.

I see that, as well. I'm assuming the pictures were taken before it was "refurbished, buffed and cleaned and rewired to work right out of the box."

We shall see FRYday.  Either way, I would have got it.
