Just need need alittle help to answer a couple of questions.  1st What type of a dial card kit is needed for this rotary dial?
2nd  Not sure if the ringer is a straight line ringer, coils on ringer one is marked 2500 the other 500. never seen this before. Any help Appreciated. will attach photos

TelePlay

That's a straight line ringer with a pivot point armature (not a flexible metal reed).

The gongs are manually volume adjustable.

3,000 ohms split that way between coils could be for party line identification.

Check the following page if you want to look for the model number marking on the ringer. There's a table of various models.

Thanks to Teleplay & Paul F, very helpful. Now what type of dial card kit would be needed for this dial I've never seen a dial center like the one shown

I don't know but I've been watching these on eBay for a couple of years and always wondered how or where they are used. They seem to be a press on ring/number card holder that would fit onto/over the silver disk in the dial center. I could be wrong since we don't have the diameter of the dial center to compare.

That phone has a North Electric dial.  The card retainer ring is pressed onto the metal part.  The ones posted by TelePlay are not correct for this dial.

Larry, do you have such a phone and if so can you post images of its card holder?

Thanks. Guess the ones I've been watching on eBay for years now are for some other phone.

I don't think this one from Old Phone Shop would be right either, image below stated for an AE dial. The images you posted show a angular channel and the ones above and this one below from the OPS seem to be round. If the inside diameter was the same as the OD of the phone dial center, maybe one of these round holders could be flattened to work as a near substitute? Don't know, not enough info given for the phone or the parts.

One thing that's always bothered me about OPS is never images from all sides and the dimensions are not stated in the description.

Old Phone Works doesn't have them and I did notice that many of the phones they have for sale are sold out. Are they downsizing now that they have stopped sales to the US?

At least we know what the proper number card holder looks like and they will be hard to find, unless a collector has a bin full of spares.

The AE rings will definitely not fit the North dials.  One thing to note about these North dials is that the finger wheels are plastic and tend to break easily.  I have had to carefully apply drops of CA glue to the cracks that developed in the finger wheels to keep them from spreading.
