Ok gang here it is the Oregon payphone thread;
All known payphones in Oregon, working or not.
Here are the ones Westrex posted:
Quote from: Westrex on November 11, 2025, 03:42:59 PMI know of a few in Oregon, but as I live in Washington, it's a bit of a drive to go down there. I have also made other threads for working phones in Washington and payphones across the U.S. and the world.

Here's the ones I know:

Portland Union Station (Working) - 503/227-9413 - See this post and this post

Fred Meyer Fuel Station (I think this phone still works) - 13625 S.E. McLoughlin Blvd., Milwaukie  - See this post

Union 76 Station (No Dial Tone) - See this post

710 N.E. Broadway, Portland (Enclosure Only) - See this post

There are also all of the FuTel operated free-phones which all work (see map below).

(You don't need to be a ticketed passenger to access the phone)

Eugene 5th st public market,
South side of 5th st public market
Near the Pendleton store:
248 E 5th Ave Suite 14, Eugene, OR 97401

Someone should check to see if the booth at the Dairy Queen in Astoria is still working.

GTE Rick

Does anyone know what brand of payphone Pioneer Telephone Cooperative now known as pioneer connect used.

Their exchanges are

Alsea, Bellfountain, Blodgett, Chitwood, Harlan, Horton, Lobster Valley, Philomath, South Beach, Summit, Tidewater,Triangle Lake, Deadwood, Waldport and Yachats.

I am working on a possible display at a local museum...
Small in size ... Smart in Style ... and it has a lighted dial.

It appears that the Astoria booth only has the lower housing of a GTE style phone in it, so I guess this phone no longer works.

Here is one and its booth at
Darlings Marina & RV Resort on Siltcoos lake
In Florence, OR 97439
Its not connected anymore, display only (until someone connects it to Futel), apparently it got sold to a local collector, then later the collector donated it back to the resort.
