I brought home a nice Western Electric type 11 phone booth yesterday

Hi all-

A few weeks after seeing this booth on Craigslist nearby, it is now in my garage where it will live until I can make a permanent place for it and do all of the proper wiring and restoration.

It includes a WE 1C1 rotary single-slot pay phone, missing the coin box, vault door, and lower lock but otherwise in quite nice condition. The booth is in very nice overall condition and seems complete (blower, light fixture, shelf, seat, end panels). It also has a 685A subset on the wall under the shelf with 1969 dates on its cover and ringer, disconnected. Its cover, like the shelf above it, was originally beige but was painted black later. Interesting, the shelf (type 18E) has a hinged panel underneath to mount the subset but it is on the wall anyway. There is a card frame on the wall with clear cover and a card suggesting the benefit of a phone call, probably from the 1970s (with the newer Bell logo).

The booth has had its interior walls re-covered twice, first with fake white-marble vinyl and later with off-white fabric-like wallpaper. I will remove those at some point and find out if there are any problems with the brown/beige mottled paneling underneath.

Thank you, Denis. With the way I obsess over things, I can probably stretch this project out for months, mixed with dozens of other projects at the same time, ha ha.

I checked the indexes and found the specific Bell manuals/BSPs for these booths, so I will post the list here in case anyone else looks for them as well. All are on the TCI Web site.
