Dear CRPF:

I have a question about the Leich 100's ringer circuit....

I'm using a WE C4A ringer with four wires in my Leich 100, and I had a question regarding how I have it wied,..

I have it wired according to the diagram for it, except I have the slate/red and slate wires connected to RC and G along with a capacitor, is that right?

I've been thinking about taking the slate/red and slate wire and connecting them together instead, would that work?

I'm presently using a .47 mF 250VDC capacitor in place of the 0.5 200VDC one, would it be sufficient to ring my existing ringer?

All advice and feedback appreciated.

Move ringer black from G to L1.

The diagram you provided shows a 2 wire ringer.

A C4A is a 4 wire ringer, red, black, slate and slate red.

You need to wire in the C4A ringer to create a ring circuit that goes from line to ringer to capacitor to line, the capacitor in series with the ringer.

Actually, if using a C4A ringer, connect the slate and slate/red wires together.

Then connect ringer black to L1 and connect ringer red to RC.

The capacitor connects remain as shown on the diagram.

Hello, I finally got my Leich 105C to ring using a C4A RINGER:

After cutting the hole for the volume control and mounting the ringer, I did the following:

1. Wired the red and black ringer leads to L-1 and L-2.

2. Connected the ringer's slate and slate/red leads to RC & G.

3. Added .47 uF, 275 VAC capacitor to RC and G.

4. Tested, results were successful
