So I have a Western Electric Com Key 2832B here without a faceplate,   They are unobtanium.

I had one good faceplate on my 2832A so after a bit of work scanning in the faceplate and designing it in Tinkercad.  I now have a 3D printable faceplate.

Im printing it in ivory to mach the 2832B,  I could print it in any color I wanted though

Here is the finished faceplate.   My print bed is just a tad small for the 2830/2832 Faceplates as I couldnt put print adhesion down.    I know i could do smaller faceplates like a 2500 and 1500,   So it curled on the edges.

It needs to be trimmed a bit to fit the phone.

This took around 6 hours to print.

Looks like a good start, how would you do the clip notch at the top. And can it be sanded a bit smoother for paint, or is it good enough.
Way back I had a lot of 2830 face plates but needed a few for 2871 wall set plates. So I used the one I had and made others to fit using the 2830s and a vertical belt sander to get the final shape, and I had to angle the tabs that hold the plate in. But it worked out well.

Just depends on the infill I can make them pretty strong if i go with a higher infill rating and more top/bottom layers.    Im going to try and make a bog standard 2500 set one next with a higher infill among other things

Someone has the faceplate for a 1564 as a 3D printed design - I bought one off of eBay not realizing it was a repro vs. original...
