Found another phone of the past. It was at Enatai Beach in Bellevue. Here's a link to where it was: https://www.google.com/maps/@47.5792522,-122.1965208,3a,15y,292.29h,84.07t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sY3iHqqSNjqlu8WnLUKw1nQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?entry=ttu.

NOTE: If anybody gets confused about the past location of this phone, and the PNWB booth also in Bellevue, here's an explanation: I got the location of the booth from a forum (not this one) and it said the booth was at Enatai beach, then I didn't think much of it. The phone is actually at the Meydenbauer Bay Park REI Boathouse.

It's funny to see you showing phone booths in Aberdeen.  It reminds me of a trip our family took through there when I was a kid.  My father had heard that Aberdeen was the first city in Washington to get Touch-Tone pay phones.  This would have been in the mid-to-late 1960s.  So, I remember us pulling over at a phone booth the check out the Touch-Tone pay phone.  It would have been a 3-slot model.  We got to check it out as we had not seen a Touch-Tone phone before.  It would have been an enclosed booth with a folding door.

I'm surprised that Seattle didn't get Touch-Tone pay phones first, being it was/is the largest city in the state (I think). The type of 3-slot Touch-Tone phone you're referencing should look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3m8hPm4YqxI (Timestamp: 3:09).

I seem to recall that my father said that he read that they rolled out the first Touch-Tone booths in Aberdeen so that they could test how they work in a small city.  And it probably needed to be a place with a new enough central office (probably 5XB or newer).  I don't remember if they were 10 button or 12.  Too long ago.

If it was 12-button it would've been made after 1968 when the WE 2500 phone was introduced. If it was 10-button it would've been made from 1963 until 1968 (Info grabbed from www.paul-f.com).

I do not recall ever seeing any Western Electric 3 Slot touch tone pay phones. Were these Automatic ELectrics?

I do remember Aberdeen from my youth. My older brother drove "the berry Express" and Aberdeen /  Hoquiam was a regular destination for us. He dragged me along to keep him awake at the wheel.

It seems to me some of the first push button 3 slot phones I saw were AE touch pulse. I especially remember these from Blue Lake Park in Gresham, OR. I think they were 10 button or had 2 blank buttons.

...
Aberdeen was Bell territory.  GTE would have been later since they were all step-by-step, and would need tone-to-pulse converters in the CO.
I'd have to look through old photo albums to narrow down the year, but it would have been 1968 or earlier.

If it is any consequence the LAST 3 Slot Western ELectric Phone I saw that was in use was in JK Gill Sore , Eastport Plaza, SE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR. It was there working until sometime in the  late 1970s. (or early 80s?).  it was rotary dial. It was the last one I was aware of and had been the only WE 3 Slot I had seen in use for several years.  It was located near the restrooms on the main floor. It stood out in my mind as the last 3 slot WE I had seen in use, as all others except that one for some reason had been swapped out.

I did still see some AE 3 Slot phones outside of the Portland area in GTE land after that time.

This old pay phone enclosure is at 3950 Leary Wy NW, Seattle, WA 98107. The telephone booth is outside of an antique store, which probably means it's not permanent. The address is: 609 1st St, Snohomish, WA 98290.
