Hey everyone,

Has anyone seen a pay phone made by this company? I just bought this phone on E-Bay to add to my collection of desktop pay phones, and I'd like to get some information on it. It says that it is made by Landis & GYR, but I've never seen any other pay phone made by them, there is a similar pay phone which you can see here:

Landis+Gyr payphones turn up now and then.  They made full size ones, and were used in many different countries.  They were among the earliest to use prepaid phone cards.

There is a similar one to yours currently on Ebay, except set up for British coins.

Interesting. I haven't seen of other versions (for other countries) of phones like these.

I figured out how to program this phone (a Landis & Gyr Agifon 82 USA), and have put the instructions on the web at http://kwan-nick.neocities.org/landisgyr.
