Hi my name is Steve new to this post. Trying to figure out how to post pictures of a phone i bought for help identifying the phone, handset and transmitter to see if it is a western electric or another manufacturer phone. My pictures are in my gallery on my phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Steve. Welcome to the forum. Here is a topic with everything about posting photos.

Western Electric was very careful to mark all their products. If it is a WE handset it should be stamped.

That image topic should be cleaned out, way too much outdated stuff in it.

This one reply shows the "attach image" link and how to find it of not showing.

The whole topic is informative but long in detail.

If the handset is Western Electric, it will be marked on the handle with one of the following:

Western Electric -- Made in U S A -- G1   [black only, circa 1949 - 1966]

Western Electric -- Made in USA -- G3   [circa 1954 - 1967]

Bell System Property --  Not For Sale -- Western Electric  [1968 - 1982]

Western Electric (with a bell icon) [late 1982 - 1983]

AT&T [late 1983 - 1990s]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The receiver unit will be marked U1 or U3 along with a date.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The transmitter unit will be marked T1 along with a date.
