Chrome plated? pay telephone with pink dial and handset. $799.

Mile High Thrift Store, 650 Malley Drive, Northglenn, Colorado

Shiny chrome case, cashier says peachandset and rotary dial. Armored handset line.   No key.

Mile High is cash only.  No returns.

Were the metal parts of this pay phone later chrome-plated by a collector?

Need more information or photos. When Phoneco had reproduction metal 3 slot housings made, it was cheaper to just have them plated and paint if needed. plating was cheap overseas. The reproductions had Western Electric markings above the coin door.

Could not see close-up. On the wall behind the cashiers and I had to leave on a bloodelivery.
(Returning from a north hospital bloodelivery I try to visit that thrift store.)

With the shiny chrome and pink dial background and handset, I questioned it being a commercial pay telephone.
