Edit:  Using the sound in the dial operating video in Audacity, the dial appears to be running at about 8.96 PPS, still slow. A more accurate value than just watching the operation.

To complete this reply, I've attached the dial's audio wave file (screen capture) and the calculation spreadsheet.

Thanks to the nice, loud and clear sound of a #2 dial, it was possible to see 9 very clear full cycles.

The calculation is simply the number of cycles (10 peaks creates 9 full cycles) divided by the time difference (in seconds) between the first and last cycle used (1.005 seconds)

In this case, the dial speed was (9 / 1.005 = 8.96) or 8.96 PPS.
