Help with more info about the pye phone

Recently acquired this phone but all my googme searching has not really brought any results, image search only shows the listing I got the phone from. I am wondering if the dials were a later modification or if this phone had been used for theatrical comms at some point as the only information on it is a lot tag from a prop shop,ive not had the time to open it up since I've got it with work and Christmas taking all my time but I'd like to see it work at some point

Reminds me of one that was used in radio communications (dispatchers, ect.)

It reminds me of the "Terryphone" intercom. Has a speaker in the dial area and a push to page button.
