I have this Western Electric 102b1 telephone. I worked on a dozen of these 102's but I never seen one with contacts like this. Was this modified or origional. If origional, I have no clue on how to wire the mounting cord from the ringer box to the 102. The "Y" on the right side is throwing me since the "Y" is always on the left. I know we don't connect anything on the "R" on the right side.   I got it with no dial. Just a blank plate. I wanted to add the dial. Any information is appreciated.

Definitely not original.

You need two sets of contacts, regardless of how they are labeled or which side they are on -- one set  that connects Yellow wire from the subset to a jumper to Y on dial. The other set for green wire from subset that makes to jumper to BB on the dial.

Also, the W and GN contacts break first when hanging up, so that you don't hear the loud pop in the receiver.

Are you sure you this is a B1 and not a B2, B3, etc.?

Yes it says B1. Even the contacts look strange. I had a feeling it wasn't origional.
