Dear CRPF:

Here are some pics of a "Ugly Duckling TT Empress Housing"... Beyond the obvious color fade there are some darker places, but the upper case is intact.

Its one of two Empress phones I'm waiting to get switchhook and networks for.

I don't believe there's much I could do without accidentally messing up the floral print, so. I'll smooth out  minor rough spots instead.

I've also got to locate another modular jack for the handset, or a ivory or almond direct wire handset cord, and switch it to a quarter or half modular condition.

TIP: If you've accidentally opened up holes for features on the Empress you hadn't intended to, take black cardstock and cutout pieces a little bigger than the hole, and glue it over the hole.

It can be removed later if needed .

I've noticed these feature holes with a knockout piece can get accidentally popped out, so my idea is a simple way to take care of it.. I've seen many companies use a similar idea if they make housing that can take multiple features and has openings for them, but because there may be a similar product with less features, it's necessary to cover the extra openings leaving the ones for the features for that model open.

Phonatic . . . you know, like "lunatic."

Dear Phonetic:

It's ok, but it is not what I need.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.,,

I need the parts that go into a Empress like the switchhook, ringer, dial, cords, jacks.

I'll buy complete Empress sets as I want them, but right now I concentrating on the ones I have, getting them fixed up.
