Dear CRPF:

I have a WE 302, that i took an earlier WE Field Trial set idea, and did my own version, but largely kept the original internals less the B Type ringer bracket.

Aside from creating a slot for the P type ringer volume control, I only had to add an extra hole for the ringer and a 165B adapter mounted via the ringer mounting screws. The adapters ears for using P-type ringer screws were removed to give proper room in the 302 base.

The original 5 type dial, 101A coil, and  condenser were kept.

I'm not sure how, but a second picture got added.

The slot was done with a Dremel moto tool.

Comments and feedback welcome.

Had something similar but it was a 302 set modified by we/bell with the guts from a princess set. and a ringer from a trimline

Hi,Rdelius:

That was yours? Cool.

My idea was to keep as many original internals as I could when I did mine.

If I may ask, what did you think of my version?

What prompted it, was I couldn't find any B type ringers, so I needed a ringer that would work with the original coil and condenser without needing to add something else to get the job done.

The only thing I would've done slightly different was find a brass 63A gong to put on the ringer to get a nice resonating echo after it stops ringing.

Let me know what you think, plz.

There was apparently a Repair Specification for replacing the 302 components with later components, as seen on these photos from this topic:

Note the B.S.R.S reference on the bottom.
