Reclaimed booths and wall mount replacement

Hello friends of the dial tone :D

I have long been interested in putting a payphone in my backyard and recently had the chance at reclaiming a couple long forgotten phonebooths from a building slated for demolition

While these also came with their original payphones, they are eternally locked to the enclosure's wall mount component (or at least I don't have plans on freeing them).

Payphone.com has a 26.5" tall mount with generally the same dimensions with the exception being its shorter than the original mounts (32") which apears to have made space for an accesible panel where a power outlet was mounted.

Posting in hopes of learning anything else about these styles of booths (e.g. do they have a common name like the L31s?) and to get input on whether this shorter mount from payphone.com would suit my needs well enough.

Ultimately I plan to re-mount one of these against a brick shed well.

Apologies! I can only respect the desire (and enforcement) around keeping this an undead image space. Oh how many hours I used to spend on forums. Cheers for keeping the real internet alive.

Congrats! That is a great find. It is always a good thing to see old phones & stuff saved from the scrap heap. Good luck on your installation. Keep us updated on your progress.
