The good news:  Over a month off.  The bad news: it comes with one arm fastened to my side.  I had surgery on the 29th and I'm still trying to learn how to do things with the one wrong hand.  At least it hasn't been very painful.  I start P T soon.

Oh boy, that's not fun. Good luck, get well soon.
PT will be hard but it should help at the end of it all..

My wife just went through three same surgery. Apparently one of the most painful surgeries there is. Just starting real therapy next week, just been doing stretch exercises at home for 12 weeks. Long recovery! Best wishes for a speed recovery.

Actually,  I've had more pain from just having the arm in one position for so long.  I was able to stop the opioid meds after the 4th day.  It's also a pain sleeping in my recliner.  I wake up 3 times a night and end up waking at 4 or 5, then falling off after eating breakfast.

And you will...for some time.
I had 3 major cartledge tears in my left shoulder, no surgery.
cost me my job.
I could have wrote your post...
Up 3 times a nite, sleepy all the time. SUCKS! >:(
The most trouble, will prob be scars...
I spend a lot of time digging, massaging my shoulder to get it to mello.
Broke my foot once, had to roll a golf ball under it to get the shrapnel to align better, eventually healed pretty good.
Therapy will be your friend.
good luck with it!
