The "British Thompson Houston Co."(B.T.H.)  made electrical control equipment  and motors for tram systems in the UK, no use to your enquiry obviously but just an interesting fact.

Never heard of the parent company being involved in phones.

Sorry ...mispelled Thomson Houston....I think Larry is correct...French...Check the receiver, it is embossed....Very nice phone....Doug
