Hello,

I just purchased a WE  AL151 candlestick with a 2AA numbers only dial.

The last "A" of the (2AA) on the finger stop is stamped over an original "B" (2AB)

Can anyone explain the stamping over and why it was done?

Thanks,
Gary

Well, the dial started out in life as a 2AB, with a metropolitan plate, went back to shop for refurbishing when it was fitted with a rural, numbers only plate, which is the 2AA.  The second letter specifies the dial plate.

Thank you very much.  I really appreciate your explanation about the dial.

Thanks again,
