does anyone know the default passwords for a Mitel superconsel 1000. I work at a hotel and the old gm would not give them to the current gm. There are features we can not access without admin passcodes. The tech. that works on it will not give them to our current gm either.

I suspect that the default passwords were changed long ago and if you are unable to obtain the new ones then the entire system would have to be defaulted which means it would have to be reprogrammed from scratch.

Not intended to be flippant but I would recommend getting another tech and inform the old one that you intend to make the reason publicly known.  The passwords actually belong to your entity and after all, he has a fiduciary responsibility to your company and not to the former GM.

Also, have your company's attorney contact the former GM and tech to inform them that they have a fiduciary responsibility to turn-over any and all proprietary and intellectual property upon their termination.

If he does not turn over the password then they could be subject to legal action and aside of whatever penalties may be assessed by the courts, perhaps they would not enjoy having to explain to their actions to their future employers and customers.

Also, if this PBX was new when installed, there would have been a set of manuals--or at least CDs--furnished with the PBX. Techs have been known to add these to their collection, but they belong to the PBX owner.
