Bought this at the recent ATCA Indiana show for &85. Nice celluloid tag, internal transmitter is in place, no extra holes. Needs coin drawer lock. It is from a small telco in Wisconsin.

Should I remove the stickers or leave them alone?

I think that's in the eye of the beholder.
Me? I would make it as original as possible.

I voted to remove them but as stated that is up to you. It's your collection. If your other phones are all in as used condition they should stay. If your other phones are restored to like new, remove them.

If it were mine, I would plan on removing the stickers, but probably never get around to it.

The stickers imply the unit remained in service into the era of 7-digit phone numbers without exchange names.  That is probably unusual.  I voted to remove them, but you could try to remove them carefully and keep them as part of the history of the item.  I'm guessing most people think about the era of initial install, and would feel the later stickers are out of place, but there's no right answer here.... 😎

When was the move to all digits made? I believe mid 1960s. So it's possib'e a rural Wisconsin small independent would be using Gray collectors.

Wow, that saw service that long... History is so cool.
Do you know where is was? And any idea when it was retired?

Would you remove them if it was a 302?
