As these phones become more scarce, is there a preferred method for replacing cut 25 pair cables? I don't mind doing the hard work to rewire, and I'm not looking for exact factory replacements, just the ability to bring these phones back. I was thinking about buying the cable with the correct amphenol connector and adding the correct non insulated spade connectors to each wire.

I am sure there is a specific Bell Systems approved method in a BSP somewhere. That being said as you do not care to be factory correct any method you care to use would be fine. The way you mentioned buying new cables and crimping spades on would be fine but might get a little pricey. You can also buy the connectors and attach them. You could just repair any damaged wires, splice or whatever. Plenty of methods. A lot of work involved any way you go. Pick your poison.

I have a crimper tool for these 25 pair cables, I think a few others on here also have them.
If you need anything made or want to borrow the tool send me a PM.
