How much should a 'fixer upper' 20AL be worth?

I found a 20AL at an antique store the other day, but it had a different receiver and several layers of paint. I have a couple WE receivers that I could use for it to replace the current one. I don't remember any corrosion on it, but it could have been hidden under all of that paint! It had the later, non Hershey's Kiss type perch. Price is $99. Worth it, or too much?
