Found at a Grand Rapids Michigan Goodwill for sixty cents each. One is a Western Electric with the Bell logo on the dial wheel. It has the outside plant type of clips. The other is marked GTE Automatic Electric and has central office type clips. Both are in excellent condition.

The Goodwill I found them at is what's called a Goodwill outlet. All the stuff that doesn't sell in the regular Goodwills comes here. It has a big open floor and they bring in about 25 large bins on wheels filled with stuff. The stuff is just thrown in the bins. Customers have to stand behind a line until all the bins are in place then they yell "go" and everyone runs to the bins and starts digging for treasure. The first time my wife and I went there it scared the crap out of us. It was like watching professional wrestling. They have a security guard to keep people from frighting.

So once everyone had left with their treasures there were just two oronge butt sets in the bottom of a bin which you grabbed and paid up for?

Nope, I was searching along with the crowd and found them close together.

Is it known who actually manufactured them?  they look like the same basic unit.  Good catch!

He mentioned WE on one and GTE AE on the other. The GTE one is not a rugged as the WE.I have had these shatter when dropped

There are no other markings on the outside. Maybe someone familiar with these knows if there may be markings inside.

I went through childhood without an infant seat, air bag, or seat belt. And lived to tell about it.
